Programme description
The Bachelor of Data Science is an interdisciplinary program that combines statistics, computer science, and information technology. It empowers students to collect, process, analyze, and interpret both structured data (e.g., spreadsheets) and unstructured data (e.g., text, images, video) to solve complex, realworld problems beyond the scope of traditional statistics. While statistics provides the foundation for analyzing structured datasets, data science expands on this by integrating advanced computing, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI). This powerful combination enables the handling of the so called Big Data, massive, complex, and rapidly evolving datasets generated from diverse sources. This capability is critical for modern challenges where traditional Statistics methods fall short. Data science techniques are essential for analyzing realtime social media to track trends, processing satellite imagery for environmental monitoring, detecting fraudulent transactions instantaneously, and interpreting continuous health data from wearable devices
