Programme description
The Bachelor of Science in Dental Laboratory Technology (BSc. DLT) is four years, competency based program that prepares students to design and fabricate high quality dental prostheses through a strong blend of scientific knowledge and hands on technical training. The program builds foundational knowledge in medical sciences, dental anatomy, materials science, and professional ethics, then advances into intensive laboratory based training. Students develop expertise in producing dentures, crowns and bridges, orthodontic appliances, implant supported prostheses, and maxillofacial prosthetics using both traditional methods and modern digital technologies such as CAD/CAM. Graduates emerge as highly skilled dental technologists, equipped with precision, safety, and management competencies, ready to work collaboratively with dentists to restore oral function and improve patient care.
