The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies (Science/Management) addresses the growing global need for environmental sustainability by equipping students with scientific, practical, and applied knowledge to tackle complex environmental challenges. Students can choose between two specialized streams; Environmental Management or Environmental Science each designed for a different professional focus. Both pathways provide a solid foundation in ecological principles, research methods, and hands on experience, while differing in technical depth and scientific emphasis. The program is highly relevant in today's world, As it prepare graduates to use evidence, data, and analysis to guide sustainable practices, manage natural resources, and support informed policymaking and strategic planning. This includes advising on environmental regulations, designing conservation programs, assessing development impacts, and helping communities and organizations make decisions that balance environmental, social, and economic needs. Graduates are well prepared for careers in environmental management, conservation, sustainability consulting, research, regulatory compliance, and policy analysis, contributing directly to environmental protection, sustainable development, and societal wellbeing locally, nationally, and globally. Option One: BSc in Environmental Studies (Management) This stream is designed for students interested to become leaders, planners, and strategists who want to address the human dimensions of environmental challenges. It focuses on developing broad scientific knowledge and the skills needed in planning, policy, economics, communication, and systems management. The goal is to prepare graduates to manage environmental resources sustainably and guide development projects responsibly. Option two: BSc in Environmental Studies (Science) This stream is designed for students interested in scientific investigation and the technical analysis of environmental systems. It provides a strong foundation in both broad scientific principles and specialized scientific environmental knowledge, covering the biological, chemical, and physical processes that drive environmental challenges and solutions.
