BSc. HUMAN NUTRITION

The Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition provides students with a strong foundation in nutrition science, focusing on how food, nutrients, and dietary patterns influence human health and disease across different population groups and life stages. The program emphasizes hands on practical skills, including basic nutrition assessment (such as measuring BMI and dietary intake), food preparation and meal planning, community nutrition education, and assisting with diet planning in clinical settings. As they progress, students learn to design, implement, and manage nutrition programs and interventions guided by research and evidence based practice. The program addresses the growing burden of malnutrition, diet related diseases, and public health nutrition challenges by preparing graduates to promote healthy eating behaviors, improve community nutrition, and support clinical nutrition services. Graduates are well equipped to contribute effectively in healthcare facilities, community programs, research institutions, and food and nutrition related sectors, helping to improve health outcomes at both individual and population levels
