Programme description
The Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (BSc. OT) is a four years professional degree program designed to address the growing global demand for rehabilitation services. It prepares students to become occupational therapists: healthcare professionals who support individuals of all ages to participate fully in meaningful daily activities despite injury, illness, disability, or psychosocial challenges. The program is highly relevant in response to the rising burden of chronic diseases, mental health conditions, injuries, and age related functional decline. As survival rates from trauma and acute illness continue to improve, there is an increasing need for skilled practitioners who can facilitate longterm functional recovery, community reintegration, and social participation. Graduates of the program are equipped with strong clinical reasoning, practical competencies, and a solid ethical foundation to assess client needs, design individualized intervention plans, and promote health, wellbeing, and functional independence across human lifespan.
