Programme description
The Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) is five years, professional that prepares graduates to diagnose, treat, and manage oral and maxillofacial health conditions. Oral health is fundamental to overall systemic health, influencing nutrition, speech, and quality of life. the DDS program addresses a critical public health need by producing skilled dental practitioners with a strong commitment to serving diverse, aging, and underserved populations The program begins with a strong foundation in medical sciences and professional studies before advancing into intensive clinical training. Students acquire hands on experience across major dental specialties including Oral Surgery, Operative Dentistry, Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, Periodontology and Pediatric Dentistry through simulations, supervised clinical rotations, direct patient care, and community based practice. Upon successful completion, graduates are awarded the DDS degree and proceed to a mandatory one year supervised hospital internship to qualify for full professional licensure.
