Programme description
This program is grounded in Aquatic Science, a discipline dedicated to understanding the complex ecosystems of oceans, lakes, rivers, and wetlands. Students study the biological, chemical, and physical processes that govern aquatic environments and the diverse life forms they support. Through a strong combination of theory and hands on training, the program prepares students to address critical global and regional challenges such as the conservation of aquatic ecosystems, the sustainable management of wild fisheries, and the development of environmentally responsible aquaculture practices. Graduates are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills needed to support food security, biodiversity conservation, and the sustainable use of aquatic resources in the face of climate change, population growth, and increasing pressure on water ecosystems.
